| Until 1889 there were no peals on the
bells.1889 and 1891 saw the only peals on the old installation. By
1912 the go of the bells was making long touches difficult and an
appeal was started for a rehang. |

The excellent rehang and augmentation
in 1913/14 led to an explosion in peal ringing.
This was dominated by the Waite Family. Alfred A. Waite came to
Barnwood parish in 1860 and rang in the only peals on the six. He
continued to ring peals at Barnwood until 1925. His four sons rang
many peals at Barnwood till the 2nd WW. |
