Peal ringing at Barnwood can be regarded as covering several eras.  Peal details
Era one. Six bells  click on blue ball to visit.
Until 1889 there were no peals on the bells.1889 and 1891 saw the only peals on the old installation. By 1912 the go of the bells was making long touches difficult and an appeal was started for a rehang. 1889-1939 link to 1889-1939 peals
Era two. Eight bells  Information included
The excellent rehang and augmentation in 1913/14 led to an explosion in peal ringing.
This was dominated by the Waite Family. Alfred A. Waite came to Barnwood parish in 1860 and rang in the only peals on the six. He continued to ring peals at Barnwood until 1925. His four sons rang many peals at Barnwood till the 2nd WW.
